Scranton, PA based band, University Drive, recently dropped their new EP First Stage Separation. Coming in at 6-tracks long, this is a beautifully crafted release that hits hard from the first note and keeps its energy until the last. Blending elements of Alt-Rock, Punk, Indie, Garage Rock, and more, the band has succeeded in delivering a powerful set of tracks that will leave you coming back for more.
Anthemic vocal flows are present in each track and are boosted by melodic instrumentals. Impressive songwriting is a major highlight on this release and the spot-on production brings it home. Whether it's the big hooks, unique transitions, or the heartfelt lyrical work, First Stage Separation will serve as an impressive introduction for any first time listeners.
Each song on this release easily moves into the next. Unlike a random collection of songs, First Stage Separation feels very intentional. We're not sure what the band has planned next, but we can't wait to hear more. They have the ammunition for a killer full album, and if you're a fan of the style you need to make sure to keep them on your radar.
You can check out the new EP in its entirety below. We also added a couple of our favorites to our Underground Indie & Alternative playlist on Spotify. Follow University Drive so you can stay on top of what else they have going on. Enjoy!
