"Life and alive" is the debut single released by Belgium-based band, Painted Scars. Dropped in the middle of last year, this is a powerful jam that boasts an anthemic blend of styles. Elements of Hard Rock, Alternative, Metal, and straight-up Rock n Roll all make a presence here. The band shines brightly by being able to blend these sounds with their own style, leaving us with a dynamic new tune that any fan of the genre will enjoy.
Pulling you in with a nostalgic yet refreshing energy, this track takes you on quite a wild ride. Hypnotic vocal work easily flows in and out of heavy-handed and melodic instrumentals. Unique transitions keep you engaged from start to finish, and spot-on production work ties the whole track together and leaves you ready to hear more. We're not sure what the band has planned next, but it's obvious that they've found "their sound" and we can't wait to see where this release takes them.
