EVIL ISLAND RELEASES NEW SINGLE - "KING DEATH"

Wow, I really like Evil Island. Not that anyone asked, (they never do) but this was a much-welcomed shot of go-go juice directly to my old, crusty nervous system.

Angular, art punk verses with spoken vocals and dissonant guitar lines pair beautifully with the bloody murder screams and hardcore intensity of the chorus. Finding a comparable sound is tough, but my best shot is if the Pixies and At the Drive In did meth together, and the product of that sweaty, debauched, unholy coupling was a snarling murder baby who literally exited the womb in a tiny leather jacket and shades.

Complete with outstanding musicianship and a vocal delivery that is simultaneously dead-on and borderline psychotic, you're gonna wanna check this one out, and I'm fairly certain you'll thank me later. But probably not, because again, no one ever does.

In the words of the great Bobby Boucher, "Tackling fuel, Coach. Tackling fuel."
