"We wanted to stand out from other local bands and make a song that rivaled the thematic power of our heroes Linkin Park, Nirvana and Sleep Token. So we enlisted the help of a local professional cellist to lay down an amazing solo and dramatic padding to our newest song, "Cigarette."

You Monster You believe they nailed the above feeling, and we agree. Ben Munoz's cello solo grants the heavy laden song with incredible brevity to breathe above the gnarly guitars. The track's subject matter touches on obsessive thoughts and temptation. Much like riding a roller coaster you fear will never crest and descend, the rich tone of the additional strings allow you to freefall; a sweet release, if only for a second.

These Kansas City boys are not afraid to switch it up, and it pays off big time in "Cigarette." The pandemic almost killed their spirit, but as they claim, they're NOT DEAD YET. That is about as punk rock as it gets. If they keep this up, we're in for the ride of our lives. High risk. High reward.
