PINGHOST RELEASES NEW SINGLE - "INKERTA"
In the sometimes unbearably technical world of Math/Metalcore, threading the needle to find cohesion and overall palatability can be a big challenge unto itself. It's basically a prerequisite that the musicians be at the top of their respective game in terms of performance, but the bigger (and oft-missed) requirement is, can the average listener outside the immediate scene follow the beat and enjoy it?
Pinghost has that quality in spades, partially due to the aforementioned dizzying talent of the players, but also through spotless production and smart arrangement. The vocalist has not only the scream and growl of a man possessed, but also a pitch-perfect singing voice, and both highlight the dizzying melodies and tonal shifts of the instruments. The chorus is big and expansive, and the breakdown is every bit the brutality that one has come to expect from the genre. Great song, great band.
We added the single to our Heavy Heavy Heavy playlist on Spotify.
