Brooklyn-based band, Nihiloceros, recently dropped their new album, Dark Ice Balloons. An 8-track ride that boasts a raw and infectious energy, this is a genre-bending release that pulls form a few elements under the alt-rock umbrella. Rooted in the world of punk, the band shines brightly by adding in sounds of Garage Rock, Emo, Pop Punk, and straight-up Rock n Roll. The end result is a dynamic sound that will no doubt leave an impression on any fans of the genre.
Each track comes fully equipped with powerful vocal flows that are boosted by clever lyricism. The melodic instrumental work adds an emotional element to the overall sound, and the spot-on production work guarantees that listeners will come back for more. We're not sure what the band has planned next, but it looks like Nihiloceros has been staying busy steadily releasing music over the last few years.
