"Wasting Away", the new single from Philly-based band, My Cousin's Girlfriend's House, is a catchy track that boasts a unique blend of styles. While the track itself is rooted in the world of Pop Punk, there are also heavy elements of Indie Rock, Pop, and Alternative Rock. However you want to classify it, this is an impressive release that leaves us wanting more.
Melodic vocal work drives this track through an enjoyable journey of spot-on instrumentals, big catchy hooks, unique transitions, and top-notch production. The band formed in 2020, and they hit the ground running. In the last two years, it looks like they've put out a string of catchy singles and one EP. We're not sure what they have planned next, but "Wasting Away" definitely makes us excited to find out. In the meantime, we'll have to deal with smashing the replay button.
