KID SISTR RELEASES NEW SINGLE - "ACCELERATOR"
Remember the film (and I use that term loosely) Crossroads? Just Britney Spears and those two other girls road trippin' and causing mayhem? Thelma and Louise? No?
Yeah, I'm probably a little old for this gig.
Anyhoo, the point here is that KID SISTR and their new single "Accelerator" reminds me of the fun parts of those movies, just delete the drama and murder and substitute Nerf wars in Target and drawing dicks on passed-out people. In short, I get the feeling they're a helluva good hang.
More importantly though, this trio of ladies is very, very good musicians. Hijinks and shenanigans aside, (there's something I don't say often). Their sound is fun, cool and an incredibly enjoyable listen. Think Elastica and The Breeders meets ZZ Top, with slightly more sex appeal.
If I know my music, and I'm 42% sure I do, you'll be hearing more from these guitar-wielding maniacs soon, and that makes me hopeful for the future of Rock and Roll. Well done, ladies. I'm proper impressed.
