Indie rock band Junkhouse Bones has just released a new single entitled “Only A Name.” It oscillates drastically between an unmetered wash of ultra-fuzzy lofi guitar and a tidy, undulating 6/8 meter with a hooktastic bassline. Nonchalant, unassuming lead vocals trade off with languid guitar solos throughout the course of the track. The 6/8 sections especially catch you in a soft groove that feels like it could go on forever. It’s groovy art rock with equally groovy art on the album cover.
