California indie rockers I Hate Kate have just released a new pop rock single entitled “Violently Alive” that seems perfectly arranged for pop radio. The synth and guitar hooks create that well-liked indie pop sound under clean vocals. Altogether, the track reminds us of Grease or Footloose, but fast forwarded to the 2000s. In fact, we imagine this lively track playing as the main character in a rom-com goes through a montage of self-reflection and personal growth, becoming more genuine in the process.
We added this track to our Underground Indie & Alternative playlist on Spotify. Check out the track below and then follow the band here for more tracks, news, and events.
