Germany-based trio, How To Loot Brazil, just dropped their new album, Joy To Be Had. A 13-track banger that takes you on an incredibly unique and melodic ride, this album will leave you smashing repeat to experience it again once the ride is over. Boasting a beautiflly crafted and genre-bending sound, Joy The Be Had will no doubt bring the band a fresh wave of new fans.
One thing that immediately stood out to us about this album was just how unique the sound actually was. Elements of post-punk, indie rock, alternative, grunge, indie pop, electronic, synth rock, and more are all present here. Shortly after diving into the release, we found out that this is actually the NINTH album from the band. Things from there started to make more sense. How To Loot Brazil has definitely found "their sound". This honestly might be the best album we've heard this year that boasts such a dynamic blend of styles.
It can be really hard to weave in and out of styles to craft your own sound. How To Loot Brazil doesn't just visit unique styles, they live there. For 17 years this project has been kicking. This was awesome news to us because once this album was over, all we wanted to do was hear more. Fortunately, we had an incredibly impressive discography to dive into! Coming fully equipped with poppy vocal flows, melodic instrumentals, unique transitions, and spot-on production work, this is a sound we just can't get enough of.
