"Smoke Signals", the debut EP from Birmingham-based Post-Hardcore band Stay Lost, is a 5 track banger that takes the listener down an anthemic ride. Elements of Punk, Metalcore, Post-Hardcore, and more blend together here, creating a powerful and unique sound.
Ripping guitars are present through the EP, all while being completed by impressive clean, and gritty, vocal work. The instrumentals in this EP really take it home. Each song is crafted in a creative way with unique transitions and spot-on production. What a fucking debut! We cannot wait to hear what these guys have planned next.
It's really hard to choose a favorite track from "Smoke Signals". Each song works together to the point that they all feel connected, therefore making the EP feel like a completed and whole collection of songs. At the same time, the vibes that each track gives off are completely unique in their own way. This is a really cool release, and it leaves us wanting to hear more which is exactly what an EP is supposed to do.
