EMNW RELEASES NEW SINGLE - "LOVING TO GET US BY"

A female Japanese duo who sing, rap and combine nu-metal, hip hop, dubstep and ska? On paper, you'd be excused for thinking that's a tad too ambitious and 9 times outta 10, you'd probably be right.

Then again, there's always that one. EMNW might very well be that one.

Combining the edge and diversity of Skindred, the cuteness and outstanding musicianship of Baby Metal and the danceable chaos of Mindless Self Indulgence is no small feat, and yet "Loving To Get Us By" does all of that while still managing to sound fresh and interesting. And the dubstep breakdown? I can't believe I'm saying this, but it slaps and I love it. This is the duo's first offering on a major label, (Sony), and I'll be damned if it doesn't have real potential. Simultaneously fun, infectious and hard as nails, these girls really do it all, even spitting bars in English and Japanese rather seamlessly, and you can color me impressed.

There's a new thing called phrogging where some degenerate lives rent-free in your attic or something, and that sounds horrible. This song, I fear, will similarly live rent-free in my skull for some time, and that's not nearly as scary. Check it out, you may well be hearing much more from these ladies in the future, and that's not a bad thing either.
