Punk band Direct Hit from Milwaukee, WI has announced that they have bought a tavern in their hometown and are turning it into a music venue. “I’d been looking to open a club for a while, and I had been doing shows at The Metal Grill for a couple years before the place closed down,” said frontman Nick Woods. According to a press release, the venue is going to be a DIY space showcasing artists in all genres of music, as well as a place to screen independent films and other creative outlets.

The opening date of the venue is TBA, but there's already tons of excitement in the local Milwaukee scene. This isn't the only big news Direct Hit has made lately, as they just announced that they have a new album called "Crown of Nothing" coming out of Fat Wreck Chords this fall.
