Los Angeles-based artist, Cormac Liotta, just unleashed their catchy new EP, I Bought A New Pedal. A quick 3-track ride, this is a dynamic release that boasts an anthemic energy of both poppy and raw vibes. What a release!
Pulling you in with distorted and melodic instrumentals, each track presents you with hypnotic vocal flows as you're taken on rides of unique transitions, big hooks, and spot-on production work. The overall style is unique here too, and it's a big reason why this release stood out to us. Elements of Grunge, indie rock, alternative rock, pop rock, and gunge, this release is dynamic and is way too easy to leave on repeat. This served as an impressive introduction to the Cormac Liotta sound and we can't wait to hear more.
Each track flows seamlessly into the next here. Our only complaint? We wish it was longer. At a total length of under three minutes, this melodic ride leaves you too quickly. this might not be a bad move though, because it led us to check out the rest of their discography. By the time I Bought A New Pedal is over, all you'll want to do is hear more, and that's exactly what an EP is supposed to do.
You can jam along to the EP in its entirety below. We also added the three tracks to our Underground Indie & Alternative playlist on Spotify. If you like what you hear, make sure to follow Cormac Liotta so you can stay on top of what else they have going on. Enjoy!
