ARCANE ARCADE RELEASES NEW SINGLE - "FORM LETTERS FROM HELL"

Unbridled, breakneck, melodic Skatepunk has been and always will be one of my favorite genres. I was raised on Ten Foot Pole and Lagwagon, and I get the feeling the members of ARCANE ARCADE might be in the same boat. There's something wonderful about the blend of frantic, chaotic rhythm and tight, precision musicianship that appeals to my nature and I guess hundreds of surf videos and literal days of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater might have had something to do with it too.

In their new single, "Form Letters From Hell", the band laments the corporate re-packaging and exploitation of an art form that was clearly pursued with none of these things in mind, and believe me, I can relate. Let's be honest: anyone still playing a galloping punk beat isn't doing it for stardom and fame, they're doing it solely for the love of the game, and that should earn all our respect. This is music for music's sake; made for the simple joy of playing it, and those who would seek to mold it into something more palatable for the masses have no business here. It's well-produced, infinitely listenable, and performed by very talented musicians, and for that I applaud them. This one is definitely going on my personal playlist.

We added the single to our Underground Punk playlist on Spotify.
