Traction is an album released last year by U.K.-based artist, Vanilla Franco. A 9-track ride that takes you through an anthemic and genre-bending journey, this album serves as an impressive introduction to the artist's sound. What a release!
After jamming through Traction, we went diving into the rest of their discography because we wanted to hear more. It's not easy for an album to do that. A big reason why this set of songs stood out to us so much is because of the raw and melodic sound. Elements of Grunge, Punk, Garage Rock, and Alt-Rock all make an appearance here. Vanilla Franco shines brightly by being able to blend all of these sounds together to deliver a refreshing and nostalgic style.
This album also feels very full and complete. Each track flows seamlessly into the next here. At 9 tracks long, it's a little on the shorter side, but it honestly doesn't feel it. Sure, you'll end up playing the thing on repeat because it's so catchy, but the ride feels perfect. We highly suggest you dive into their new album Walden too!
