The Die is Cast is an album released earlier this year by Vancouver-based duo, Post Death Soundtrack. Pulling you in with a dynamic sound that draws from multiple genres, this album takes you on quite the wild ride and makes it hard not to come back and experience it again. What a release!
An 11-track journey, the duo shines brightly by pulling from elements of Grunge, Metal, Hard Rock, and more to deliver a refreshing sound that's equal parts eerie and inviting. Ripping instrumentals are greeted with hypnotic vocal flows as you're handed unique transitions, spot-on production work, and unique writing. The writing on this album is a major highlight. Whether it's the narrative-styled lyrical work or the unique way the band blends so many influences together, The Die is Cast has something for everyone.
Each track flows seamlessly into the next one on this release. That's a huge reason why this album feels so complete. Unlike a random collection of songs, The Die is Cast feels very full and has a cinematic aspect. the whole album plays out like a movie.
