Philadelphia based band, Bears Have Hearts, dropped their new album, Heavy Lies, at the beginning of the year. A 12-track ride that boasts a dynamic blend of styles, this is a catchy release that serves as an impressive display of songwriting. Whether it's the bright and poppy vocal flows, the melodic instrumentals, or the spot-on prodcution work, this set of tracks is way too easy to leave on repeat.

Blending elements of Indie, Alternative, Pop Rock, Garage Rock, and more, the band shines here by unleashing a unique sound that feels nostalgic while at the same time new. It was the raw sound of this album that initially pulled us in. There's an infectious and raw energy that's present throughout, but production quality isn't sacrificed to capture the nostalgic yet refreshing style.
