Myrtle Beach pop punkers, Windley, brought the heat with their new single, "Starving". Boasting a light and dancey energy, the track showcases heartfelt lyrical work, unique transitions, and the raw production that we love from the genre.
The instrumental work is well played and varies between ripping guitar licks, punchy drums, hypnotic bass lines, and even heavy-handed breakdowns. Overall this is a refreshing and catchy track that's a perfect bop for the summer. The band really shines by blending elements of emo with the lighter side of pop-punk, leaving us with a nostalgic sound that's at the same time unique.
We're not sure what the band has planned next, but they have an infectious energy here that's leaving us wanting more. You can check out the new single below. We also added it to our Underground Punk playlist on Spotify. If you dig what you hear, make sure to follow Windley to stay on top of what else they have going on. Enjoy!
