Possibly the most unique track we’ve heard all year is the newest release from Aussie alt rock outfit The Silencio. “I Know What We’re Not” incorporates both electronic and traditional instruments, including both drum machine and drum kit, as well as specific studio production techniques, like ultra-long delay and synthy plugins. Exciting drum fills mix with lowkey bass lines and pseudo Spanish-flair guitar leads, while vocal harmonies throughout add to the song’s intricacy.
To call the band’s sound “different” might be an understatement, but the song has that weird-in-a-good-way quality, so it’s definitely one you won’t want to miss. We've featured releases from the band before, and just as we expected, they once again did not disappoint.
