For this Video Feature we're taking a look at the music video for "Straight Shot" by Metalcore band This Is Falling. Right off the bat, we're going to tell you that this video is rad as fuck. Pretty blunt, eh? Well, that's just the best way to describe it.
Using a perfect theme for Halloween time, the video draws on elements from classic slasher films. We don't want to give away too much, but the video plays more as a short film with their track in the background instead of a traditional music video. Equal parts gruesome and creative, this is a video we found ourselves watching a couple times to make sure we didn't miss anything.
When talking about the song itself, there's not much to be said. It's great. Vocal work, instrumentals, transitions, overall production.... It's all there. This song led us to check out the rest of the bands discography, and if you're a fan of the genre, we're sure you'll end up doing the same.
