"Diamond" is the latest single from Toronto-based indie rock duo, Soft Set. Featuring a powerful blend of indie, shoegaze, and dream pop elements, this is an infectiously catchy new tune that's easy to leave on repeat.
Airy vocal work takes lead here as you're thrown into an enjoyable ride of dancey instrumentals, light guitar work, spacey drums, solid bass lines, and spot-on production. One major aspect that stands out to us is the band's impressive display of mixing mellow and anthemic sounds. These two polarizing themes mash together in the most beautiful way, leaving us with a refreshing track that's nostalgic and unique at the same time. Unique transitions within the track also go a long way too. You're not sure what's coming next, but you're eagerly waiting to find out.
