For this Track Feature we're taking a look at "Back", the newest single from Indie Rockers The Awkward. An overall impressive release from the band, this track draws on Indie Pop elements and Synth driven hooks, leaving the listener incapable of standing still.
What we dig so much about this track is the overall journey you're taken on while jamming it. On point vocal work and instrumentals are only boosted by unique transitions and top notch production. We added "Back" to the top slot of our Underground Indie & Alternative playlist on Spotify. Admittedly, this was our first time listening to The Awkward, but this release has guaranteed that it won't be the last.
When asked about the new single, the band had this to say. "What better way to get 'Back’ in shape for 2021 then with this aerobic-friendly track?! Don't mind this little piece of poetry; ‘Back’ is an energetic and colorful song that puts a smile on your face and a synth line stuck in your head for days." We couldn't agree more!
