Olympia-based artist, Storm Boy, released their debut EP, 4 Songs, at the end of last year. The final track on the release, "It's the Mess That Makes Us", is a raw and anthemic release that features gritty vocal work over a fast and in-your-face instrumental.
Boasting a familiar yet refreshing style, Storm Boy really shines here by being able to craft a nostalgic yet unique sound. The ripping instrumental in the track boosts the anthemic vocal flows as you're handed unique transitions and spot-on punk rock production work. While we're not sure what they have planned next, this release was an amazing introduction to the artist's songwriting skills. We can't wait to hear more!
