"Smoked a Cigarette Instead", the latest single from Monroe Moon, is a beautifully crafted new tune that features poppy vocal flows over melodic and well-produced instrumentals. Elements of indie, alt, pop rock, and straight-up rock n roll all make a presence here. The band duo shines brightly by being able to blend these elements together with their own style so they can deliver a catchy and refreshing sound.
Pulling you in with a poppy instrumental, the track soon takes you on an enjoyable ride of unique transitions, big hooks, and spot-on production work. It's always great to come across a sound like this that feels nostalgic while at the same time new. They're been pretty active steadily releasing music over the last couple of years, and while we're not sure what they have planned next, we highly suggest you give their whole discography a listen!
