STAGE FRIED RELEASES NEW SINGLE - "NEPAL FLAMES"
On the surface, the new offering from punk/rock outfit STAGE FRIED is a good song. Catchy chorus, driving rhythm, slightly subdued vocals that actually juxtapose quite well against the rock backdrop.
If you dig a bit deeper, however, you get a band who is utilizing music in a way that I think is primary to the point of music in the first place: to stand up for something.
In this case, as in many others lately, that something is political. The songs conveys the performer's disbelief in the current state of politics and brothers and sisters, I'd have to agree! It's a madhouse out there and punk rock was created to give us all something to unite under, something to get behind. And for that, I salute you, STAGE FRIED. Well-said and well-performed.
