NERVOUS LIGHT RELEASES NEW SINGLE - "MAKING HEAVEN FROM THE HELL YOU LEFT"

I've been receiving quite a few offerings from Australian bands of varying genres lately, and I have to say, overall I'm very impressed. Of course, the Aussies have put out excellent music for decades, but these recent tunes all share two things: a decidedly modern feel and an audible down-under twist that I find very appealing. Again, I'm not saying this is a new development, only that I'm new to the critic game and I'm really enjoying what I'm hearing.

Nervous Light's "Making Heaven from the Hell You Left" is a great example of that. A subdued, almost morose opening explodes into a powerful, uplifting chorus complete with beautiful musicianship, an electronic background that nicely fills out the wall of melody, and a vocalist with an impossibly high range. This track takes you on an emotional journey (yes, I know how lame that sounds. I said I was new to this.) from emo to metal to electro post-hardcore, while remaining consistent and ultra catchy. I look forward to more from this outfit, as should you.

We added the single to our Underground Punk and our Heavy Heavy Heavy playlists on Spotify.
