FIVESIDEDDICE RELEASES NEW EP - "KINTSUGI"

South African-based band FiveSidedDice just dropped their new EP, Kintsugi. A 5-track ride that comes fully equipped with poppy vocal flows, ripping instrumentals, and a dynamic blend of styles, this is an anthemic set of songs that hit hard and leave you ready for more. What a release!

Blending elements of Pop Punk, Alt-Rock, Hardcore, and Pop Rock, this is an inviting new album that shines due to solid songwriting. Raw production work keeps the classic energy from the genre, but doesn't take away from the melodic end product. This release led us to take a deep dive into the rest of the band's discography, and when we saw the impressive size of their catalog, the superior songwriting started to make sense.

Whether you're enjoying the heavy-handed bridge in "Misery" or the ambient, airy, and crashing instrumentals in "The Angel Number", multiple times on this album you'll appreciate just how dynamic the band's sound is. Our only complaint? We wish it was longer! By the time Kintsugi is over, all you'll want to do is hear more. That's exactly what an EP is supposed to do.

For whatever reason, we've been receiving a lot of music from bands and artists from South Africa. We're not sure of the scene there, but with releases like this, we're assuming that the whole place is just swarming with talent. That's one cool thing about being a music blog. You get access to new music that most people might not come across, and if it's this good, it's almost your responsibility to share it with as many people as possible.
