CHARACTER ACTORS RELEASE NEW SINGLE - "I'VE GOT A CHICKEN TO PLUCK WITH YOU, MICHAEL"

Who else is a sucker for jangly, subdued guitar-driven verses followed by a big, anthemic chorus? Just me? I doubt that and I imagine Leeds, UK emo/punk crooners Character Actors do too. Exceedingly listenable and well-written, the old heart strings are getting quite a tugging on this one.

Equal doses of Menzingers and Jawbreaker-styled rock is easy medicine to take and although the subject matter is slightly morose, the listener is left feeling hopeful, even optimistic. Such is the power of a well-placed sing-along chorus, and with "I've got a Chicken to Pluck with You, Michael", it feels like Charactor Actors got the memo.

As for the title, I can't help but read it in the voice of KIT from Knight Rider, which is probably completely off-base, as is my unrelenting need to bring up Hasselhoff at every opportunity. Go figure.

Either way, it's a helluva lovely offering, and well worth checking out, so see that you do. Forthwith. I said good day, sir.

We added the single to our Underground Punk playlist on Spotify.

Now stop reading and start listening.
