Detroit-based band, Cascade Riot, just dropped their new EP, Life on Venus. A 5-track melodic ride, this is a catchy pop-punk rooted jam that takes you on quite the wild ride. By the time this release is over, all you'll want to do is hear more. That's exactly what an EP is supposed to do.

Cascade Riot is a band that every fan of the genre needs to keep on their radar and for good reasons. Each track on this EP comes fully equipped with ripping instrumentals, poppy vocal flows, heartfelt lyrical work, unique transitions, and spot-on production. The release also feels very full. Each song flows seamlessly into the next, leaving listeners with a complete set of songs that'll leave you smashing repeat to experience again when it's over.

Boasting a nostalgic sound, the band shines by being able to blend familiar elements with their own style. The result is an energy that feels refreshing while also nostalgic. It looks like the band has steadily been releasing music over the last few years. Life on Venus led us to check out a lot of their discography. If you like what you hear, the good news is that there's a good chunk of tunes you can take a listen to while you wait for whatever the band has planned next.

You can jam along to the new EP in its entirety below. We also added our personal favorites to our Underground Punk playlist on Spotify. Make sure to follow Cascade Riot so you can stay on top of what else they have going on too. Enjoy!
