L.A.-based band, Velour Academy, recently delivered their anthemic new album, Chisme. Boasting a refreshing 10-track ride full of heartfelt lyricism, soft instrumentals, and hypnotic vocal flows, this is a dynamic release that leaves you wanting more.
Elements of punk, pop rock, indie rock, shoegaze and more are all tied together with spot-on production work and impressive songwriting. The band really shines here by delivering a melodic ride. This doesn't feel like 10 random songs put together. Velour Academy has crafted a set of anthemic tunes that complement each other and keep you engaged from start to finish.
It was way too hard to pick a favorite track, but we ended up adding a few to our Underground Punk and our Underground Indie & Alternative playlists on Spotify. Like we said earlier, once this album is over, all you want to do is hear more. It's a major feat to release an album. especially one as carefully crafted as this, so we're not sure what the band has planned next in terms of new releases.
