ALBUM FEATURE: SHADELAND - "THE SWIMMERS OF LAKE BAIKAL"

Indianapolis-based band, Shadeland, recently dropped their new album, The Swimmers of Lake Baikal. A 15-track melodic ride, this is an anthemic release that serves as an impressive display of songwriting. Each track moves seamlessly into the next, leaving the full release sounding complete. What an album!

Boasting a unique blend of styles, the band shines brightly by utilizing a wide array of elements under the alt-rock umbrella. A powerful vocal performance is present on each track, boosted by well-produced and melodic instrumentals. The end result is an infectious release that keeps you engaged from start to finish due to unique transitions and creativity.

Doing some digging, we found that this is the 5th full-length album released by Shadeland. There's definitely a tenured sound here, and it led us to check out a good chunk of their impressive discography. We're not sure what the band has planned next, but we're very excited to see them receive the wave of attention this album deserves.

You can check out the album in its entirety below. We added a couple of our personal favorites to our Underground Indie & Alternative playlist on Spotify. If you like what you hear, make sure to follow Shadeland so you can stay on top of what else they have going on. Enjoy!
