Naples, FL-based rock n rollers Roxx Revolt & The Velvets released their debut full-length album last month. Equipped with 12 ripping tracks that boast a nostalgic blend of classic rock with a modern twist, Turn Your Head This Way is a powerful release that serves as a really impressive display of songwriting. What a debut!
One thing that really stands out about this record is how the band was able to work with production to keep the sound raw. There's a very classic feel to this album, but not at the sacrifice of production quality. Best enjoyed from start to finish in order, each track seamlessly flows into the next. Before you know it, you'll find yourself a few tracks into the wild ride being handed anthemic vocal work, ripping instrumentals, and unique transitions.
The release also feels very complete, not like just a random collection of songs. That can sometimes be the case with a band's debut album, but Roxx Revolt & The Velvets have delivered a complete release. We're not sure what the band has planned next, but we're positive that they'll be enjoying a fresh tidal wave of new fans from Turn Your Head This Way.
