London-based band, PolSky, just dropped their new album, Executive Functions. Boasting poppy instrumentals that live in the indie rock world, this is a dynamic new tune that pulls from elements of alt-rock, post-punk, garage rock, and straight-up rock n roll. What a release!
A 12-track anthemic ride, this album is full of unique transitions, hypnotic vocal flows, and spot-on production. The end result is an impressive display of songwriting that will leave you wanting more. PolSky has succeeded in crafting a sound that feels nostalgic while at the same time new. What stood out to us the most was the way they were able to blend the softer side of pop rock with the more gritty side of alt-rock. This leaves them with an infectious sound that any fan of the genre is going to love.
We're not sure what they have planned next, but we're excited to find out. It's obvious that the band has found "their sound", and we're pumped to see them hopefully receive a tidal wave of new fans that they deserve.
