Spring Fever is an EP released earlier this year by Paris-based band, Lorsay. Equipped with 5 tracks that take you on quite the wild ride, this is a melodic release that pulls from multiple different styles. By the time it's over, all you'll want to do is hear more, and that's exactly what an EP is supposed to do.
Powerful vocal flows are present in each track. Boasting a soothing, yet slightly eerie, vibe, the vocal performance is a major anchor in the band's overall sound. Complimented by a dynamic instrumental, the band shines brightly by being able to deliver a refreshing and unique sound. The transition work in this EP is really solid as well. Each track flows seamlessly into the next, allowing for this release to feel full and complete.
It can be hard to deliver an anthemic journey with an EP. It's longer than a single but doesn't allow the extended time for a full emotional response that an album does. While Spring Fever will definitely leave you wanting more, it also serves as an impressive display of songwriting and works as its own thing. We're not sure what the band has planned next, but we're excited to find out!
You can jam along to the EP in its entirety below. We also added a couple of our personal favorites to our Underground Indie & Alternative playlist on Spotify. If you like what you hear, make sure to follow Lorsay so you can stay on top of their future releases!
