U.K.-based artist, Collapsed Tower, recently unleashed their new album, Happiness is Transient, Melancholy is Permanent. An 8-track wild ride equipped with melodic instrumentals and raw emotion, this is a dynamic release that any fan of the heavier side of alternative is going to love.
While the album is strictly instrumental, it doesn't feel like it's missing anything. That's an extremely hard feat to accomplish with an instrumental project. There's a lot of emotion in these tracks. Ripping guitar work sets the vibe for each song, and it's complimented heavily by punchy drums and groovy bass lines. Each track flows seamlessly into the next, leaving listeners with a completed set of songs that feel full.
It looks like Collapsed Tower has been busy steadily releasing music over the last few years. After we took a deep dive into this new album, we found ourselves going through the rest of their discography. If you're a fan of what you hear, and you're anxious to hear more, we highly suggest you do the same.
