Oakland-based band, Cheree, recently delivered their powerful new EP, Factory. A 6-track ride, this is an anthemic and raw experience that boasts a unique blend of styles. What a release!
Elements of punk, noise, grunge, alternative, and more all smash together in an orchestrated chaos that leaves listeners with a unique and refreshing sound. Gritty vocals are shouted from a distance as they float over distorted instrumentals. Add in the spot-on garage/punk production work and you're left with an epic excursion of tracks that'll continue to bring you back for more.
By the time this release is over, all you want to do is hear more. That's exactly what an EP is supposed to do. While this style might not be for everybody, Factory is a set of songs that any fan of the more raw side of punk/post-punk will enjoy. Cheree is definitely a band that fans of the genre need to keep on their radar. This is a unique sound.
You can check out the EP in its entirety below. We also added a couple of tracks to our Underground Punk playlist on Spotify. Make sure to follow Cheree to stay on top of what else they have going on. Enjoy!
