"Lo-Fi Demo EP", the debut release from Italian artist, AIN'T, is a powerful set of songs that boast unique songwriting and a raw style. At 7 songs, the "EP" is technically an album, and this thing rips hard. Each track keeps the momentum flowing forward and keeps you engaged and ready for more. What a release!
Featuring a raw and anthemic alt-rock-rooted sound, AIN'T shines here by blending elements from a few genres such as grunge, indie rock, punk, and straight-up rock n roll to craft a melodic style. The end result is a refreshing set of songs that feel nostalgic while at the same time new. We're not sure what the artist has planned next, but this release serves as an impressive display into their songwriting. We're excited to see what else they have going on.
It's always great to hear a release that makes you think. "Lo-Fi Demo EP" takes you on quite the wild ride. Even though "demo" is in the title, this feels like a finished set of songs. AIN'T has succeeded in crafting a raw and anthemic sound that doesn't sacrifice too much production quality. That's not easy to do, which is just one reason why we're interested to see what they have on the horizon.
