The newest track from indie Brits VANT, entitled “Il Capitano,” is a soothing lofi indie bop. Synthy comped chords, clean electric guitar, and auxiliary percussion that sounds like a dinnerware party mix with raw acoustic guitar under a laidback lead vocal style. It has a classic beachy shoegaze sound, but is much more stripped down and relaxed.
The music video is impressive, featuring the lead singer GoPro-ing his ride atop the roof of a small plane. The fisheye shots in all directions are mesmerizing and totally fit the hypnotic nature of the track. We added this track to our Underground Indie & Alternative playlist on Spotify.
