New England based band The Rare Occasions just released their new single "Alone". To be honest, we must have played this track over 100 times this last week. This was actually our first time listening to the band, but "Alone" has guaranteed that it won't be the last.
The track hits you with its infections Pop charm within its first 15 seconds. Reminiscent of some major players in the scene like The Killers, Bloc Party, or even Weezer, the band has done a great job and carving out their own sound in the Alternative/Indie genre. One thing we love about this track is how effortlessly it transitions from its calm and melodic verses to its head banging and anthemic choruses. For real... I feel like we need to put a warning out there that the chorus of this track will 100% get stuck in your head (but in a good way).
It's only September, but we can guarantee you that "Alone" will be on our Best of 2020 list at the end of the year. We also added this track to our Underground Indie & Alternative playlist on Spotify.
