LIVES LOST RELEASE NEW SINGLE - "SLEEPLESS"
Relationships, whether business or romantic, have always been a unifying vein in songwriting and that's a good thing. Sometimes they go well, and you want to shout it from the rooftops. Other times, not so much, and you might want to shout about that too. And that's also a good thing. Healthy release is such an important part of feeling depression, anger or despair, and music is such a great avenue for that.
Enter Lives Lost and their new offering, "Sleepless".
Heavier than hell and full of angst, this one is definitely not about a good relationship, but it's such a banger and you really get the feeling of healthy catharsis, so is it out of line to say that it evokes a little hope and positivity too? I hope not because that's what I think makes it so applicable to so many of our day to day struggles.
Intense, beautifully-produced guitars and a rhythm section that seems to enhance the Earth's gravitational pull are extremely well-complimented by a passionate and very versatile vocalist. This one pounds the eardrums just the way you'd like it to, and the energy and aggression leaves the listener equal parts psyched-up and resolute, which is saying a lot.
