Philadelphia-based artist, Brand Slogan, just dropped their new 4-track self-titled EP. Boasting an anthemic blend of shoegaze, indie, grunge, and alternative, this is a dynamic release that serves an impressive display of songwriting. What a release!
The brainchild of musician Damon Kardon, Brand Slogan is a project that pulls from influences such as Deftones and Sunny Day Real Estate. The blend of emo into the style of this EP does its job by allowing the listener to feel an emotional and relaxing vibe. Hypnotic vocal flows are present in each track, boosted by soft arpeggio guitars, soothing bass lines, and punchy drums.
As we said earlier, this is a dynamic release. Once you think you have the sound figured out, you'll find yourself handed big and heavily distorted guitars that pull on more of the grunge influence. Best enjoyed from start to finish, this release takes you on quite the journey, and when it's over, all you want to do is hear more. That's exactly what an EP is supposed to do.
