Aussie rock trio Bloods have released a sparkling new single about finding that special someone who makes all your days infinitely brighter. “I Like You” rolls right in with a classic 80s vibe featuring bulky bass, breezy guitar riffs, swaying drums, and cutesy pinpoints of glockenspiel layered like twinkling stars overhead. The interplay between the two narrative voices, the first belonging to the lead vocalist of Bloods and the other to the punk scene’s Laura Jane Grace, reminds us of those cool kitschy pop turned musical theater style duets, like Elton John and Kiki Dee’s “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” - perfect for singing along to on a road trip with your best friend or when out for a good time at the local karaoke bar.

This track is a lovely ode to one of the greatest gifts in life - the companionship of a true soulmate. If you’re having a down day, flip this onto the car stereo, remember to keep your chin up, and try humming along.

We added this track to our Underground Indie & Alternative playlist on Spotify. Sing and be merry with “I Like You,” then follow Bloods for more music.
