Lights On is the new EP from Phoenix-based trio, Weslynn. A melodic three-track ride, this is a poppy journey that's full of powerful vocal flows, impressive instrumental work, and spot-on production. What a release!
Pulling you in with bright and infectious energy, the band really shines here by being able to craft a sound that's both nostalgic and refreshing. Heartfelt lyrical work is present in each track, boosted by airy guitars, groovy bass lines, and punchy drums. There's an emotional element throughout the entire release, which is probably a big reason why each track flows seamlessly into the next,
This feels like a full and complete release, not just a string of tracks. Weslynn has delivered quite an anthemic display of songwriting here. Our only complaint is that it's not over! By the time you're done with Lights On, all you'll want to do is hear more, and that's exactly what an EP is supposed to do.
