U.K. based Indie Rock band VENUS GRRRLS may have struck gold with their new EP, "Potions". At 4 tracks long, this is a release that's all too easy to leave on repeat. Each song is unique in its own way, but together, these tracks mold into an impressive and anthemic release that any fan of the genre will enjoy.
While it's safe to call this Indie or Alternative Rock, the band has really done a great job at pulling from multiple genres to create a unique and catchy sound. While listening through "Potions", you can hear elements of punk, garage rock, post-punk, and even synth-rock. By the time it's over, all you want to do is hear more, and that's exactly what an EP is supposed to do.
While the vocal work on this release is definitely the main driving force, the full instrumental and production come together to boast an incredibly anthemic and powerful audio journey. "Potions" is a diverse collection of tracks. We added songs to both our Underground Punk and our Underground Indie & Alternative playlists on Spotify. In our opinion, the last track, "Glisten", is the most unique and serves as a beautiful showcase example of what VENUS GRRRLS is capable of.
